My 2 year old daughter caught me crying one night. She grabbed my leg, squeezed it and held tight. “It’s alright Mommy, it’s alright”. Her voice was so concerned, yet soft and soothing. She didn’t know why I was crying, she just held my leg and stroked it so lovingly and gentle. As I do to her when she cries.
My daughter loves to watch music videos. Yes, Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor, The Biebes. But she also loves the 2Cellos and a beautiful violinist, a Canadian gal by the name of Lindsey Stirling. She studies the dances, she is understanding the timing of things now. She is absolutely adorable – I could be a wee bit biased.
As I write this post, I am sitting in the corner of a Serious Coffee with a delicious Earl Grey tea, trying not to feel the extreme Mum guilt I feel right now. My husband called me on the way home from work today, and I hardly got through our greetings before I blurted out ‘I need a break’.
