Being a Mum of two kids, under the age of 3, sometimes you don’t get to hear your own thoughts. You forget to drink water for 3 days and you can’t figure out why you feel like you’re shutting down. You sometimes even scream and no one hears you. You put your needs (showering, eating, sleeping, etc) aside so that your kids can have your attention. You don’t always take care of you and you wonder if anyone notices. Do they realize that I just spent 6 hours making these bubbles stations, and all these fun outdoor actives together? Do they realize that I only slept for 4 hours last night and I”m running on fumes? Do they realize that I need a break?
I had the best mother’s day ever – yes granted that this is only my third one, it was pretty amazing.
Words can not describe how awesome it was. From start to finish. I decided to document the day!
IT’S TIME FOR A GIVEAWAY!!!!! & just in time for Mother’s Day.
I get Mother’s Day now. Yes I understood that it is to celebrate all the hard work and everything that Mum’s do. But for the Mum’s, its celebrating there families, no matter where they are in the world. This morning I was going to go to back to back yoga classes but I just wanted to spend time with my daughter and husband. I didn’t feel like sitting with a room full of strangers on Mother’s Day. I was happy that I skipped it because I would have missed out on my daughter walking with her Daddy’s help.
My Mother’s Day card was so beautiful. Inside my beautiful card was Scarlett’s first drawing. I understand that when a Mother can get a handmade craft from there wee ones, that they love it with there whole heart. This is my first of many handmade gifts and I will love them all. I got a beautiful necklace along with the card, but I love love the card. I can’t describe it or explain it but it’s a Mother’s pride perhaps.
Scarlett’s first drawing. I love it so much.
We went to my Mum’s for a BBQ and to spend the afternoon with sunshine and good company. Scarlett started walking around with her little Lion Walker. Brought a tear to my eye, she is so smart. It still amazes me how you put them to bed one night, and they wake up the next morning and they have learnt how to do something new – like walking. I love her big smiles. Her personality is starting to shine through.

I had such a great day. I wouldn’t have changed a thing about it. It was full of love, smiles and giggles. I love being a Mum. It’s the best job in the world.
