I never travelled out of the country as a kid. We did lots of camping, boating and fishing trips. We had so many adventures. Saw amazing things, learnt a lot about the outdoors. I could chop wood at a young age, I saw phosphorescent (glowing water as I called it), learnt where fish came from, I could start a fire (it really is an art form) and I slept under the stars.
The day was a beautiful West Coast day. Cloudy and threating to rain. The mountains seemed so welcoming, yet you knew you shouldn’t hug it right away. The terrain wasn’t going to go easy on us, it was going to make us work for that finish line. It was the 1st ever Diamond Dash up at The Westin Bear Mountain Resort.
I found myself trying to write a post for today and ever time I sat down, one of the kids needed my attention, the dog wanted out or I couldn’t think of a thing to write due to the fact that my brain was fried. All I can think of is lunch menus and running routines. So I went for a run!
Well folks my very first guest post went LIVE!!!! ahhh. The excitement, the nerves, the excitement. Be sure to check out the post over at Coach Daddy’s place.
I’d love to hear your thoughts.
I was busy all weekend with Scarlett and getting ready for a superbowl/birthday party at my girl friends place, I didn’t get a chance to do the post I wanted to do. So todays post is a little lacking.
But to prove that I was actually busy, check out the cake I made!!!
Yes, I made this!
