Happy Gobble Gobble

Up here in the Great White North, we’re celebrating Thanksgiving! Turkey, turkey, ham! October is such a beautiful month ❤

Us in our natural state.

This is one of my favorite holidays. Correction this IS my favorite holiday (I suppose Halloween comes in second). No gifts required. Laughter, memories are made and wine is drank (can’t forget the wine). Kids get to snack on treats a little more. Adults are relaxed and enjoying each others company. The air is starting to get just a little bit chilly, making us want to be inside where it’s warm and cozy.

A time to reflect. What are you grateful for? Who are you grateful for?

I am grateful for so many people and so many things in my life. If I wrote them all out, I would be writing a book! I’ll give you the short version.

The BEST Family photo to date!

I am grateful the little things, the big things. The roof over our heads, food in the cupboards, heat in the vents. Kids laughter and carefree attitude. Right now, the smell of turkey weaving it’s way over, out of the over and right into my smell factory (I’m wearing a comfy dress – this isn’t my first rodeo).

We live in a scary world and in a time where, if you let it, everything will scare you. I’m grateful that I live in a proud, strong, open-minded country. I don’t have to worry that some moron who has backward views, terrible hair and verbally attacks anyone who who doesn’t think the same way as hime, could be elected president.

I am grateful for the friends who have turned into family. The love and support that I have in my life. My health! My kids health. I’m grateful that my husband has a job he loves and allows me to stay home with our very active children.

Father daughter time! Stuffed animal chicken fights… oh what will they think of next!

This is the best holiday because you get to spend time with the ones you love, eat extraordinary food, wear comfy clothes that expand.

I must go and prepare the wine. That’s my job, making sure the house is stock full of wine. My husband does the cooking. (Yes, very grateful for that. I made Thanksgiving dinner one time… lets just say… it didn’t go so well).

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Dinner # 3 … yes, 3!

xoxo Ashley
